At Galaxy Dance Academy we strongly believe in giving back to our community. We Currently are working with our local first five to give the kids there short classes so they gain exposure to new activities. We also perform at our local Relay for Life, Farmers Market, Pomegrante Festival, other local events and our local school events.

Another big event we do is around November/December time we have a giant food drive at our dance recital. Instead of charging parents for tickets to enjoy the show we ask that each person you bring donates a canned food. Last year we fed about 200 families. we are very proud and blessed with the generosity our students and parents have. We also do a sock and book drive. Last year we teamed up with some moms and collected over 10 boxes to donate to the kids at Valley Childrens Hospital.

At our dance studio we are teamed up with Madera Special needs Sports Program, so we have students with all kids of disabillites enrolled in our program. All of our kids get to perform at our December recital and our June recital. Our December recital is very low cost. When we say lost cost it means we do not order dance costumes the kids perform in the shirts we order for this event. For our June recital we put on a production and this is the show where you will see kids in all kinds of costumes.

Some of our students are involved in our competiton teams so they dance at our recitals and at the Local dance competitons in Fresno, CA. Another great experience we offer our students is the Dance the Magic Parade. Once a year around April we invite students to perform in the Disneyland Dance the Magic Parade. They dance all the way from Main street to It's a Small World. Our students also get the chance to meet other dancers from around the world in this event. They also get the life time chance to see the behind the scenes at Disneyland.
